I’ve wanted to do a post on Rebecca Black ever since her song Friday came out.

Ok, 1 I don’t understand the big deal with the song Friday and the things that bug me the most about it is A) she didn’t write the song and B)YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO LISTEN TO IT!! Yes I know that might be a shock to some of you fools out there but if you hated the song THAAAT much you didn’t have to go on YouTube and hit play, you didn’t have to listen to the whole song and you didn’t have to comment and most of all YOU DIDN’T HAVE TO DO THAT 100000000000000000 times.

Question, how can you idiots rationalize sending her death threats over a song? Are you fucking insane? You mean to tell me that you hate the song THHHHAT MUCHH?? My "Sole-Mate"

Ahem..ladies/gents/plants you can thank me later, actually how about NOW, you're probably wondering why...well let me tell you. I'VE FOUND THE BEST THING SINCE SEX AND THE CITY and No I'm not being dramatic.


Ok, I love Red Bottoms as much as the next gal but come on, I'm on the broke artist diet which mean I can't afford them but (here comes the reason you should THANK ME NOW. BO0M) It's called Arch Tags...dang doesn't it just sound amazing? Yeah I know.. Basically it's these stickers that you put on the sole of your amazingly affordable heels that last abnormally long, (it isn't the type of sticker you get from the dentist DUH) pardon le` dramatics I'm about to display buuuuut YOU CAN GET THEM IN ALL TYPES OF FAB DESIGNS EVEN CHEEETTAHHH PRINT WHICH IS GOOD FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! ok enough of that here's the oh so inside exclusive interview I scooped with the Founder, CEO, HeadFckinHoncho Alexandra Pappas.

1. How did the idea of Arch Tags come about?
About 9 years ago when I first moved to New York City, I lived as a typical starving artist. I would walk up and down Madison Avenue peering into the shop windows longing for my own pair of Louboutins. The idea was percolating but didn't manifest itself for another couple years. When I started seeing those nail decals everywhere, something clicked in my brain and Arch Tags™ was born shortly thereafter.


2. Are they interchangeable?
You can re-apply the standard tags up to two times, sometimes more! Tease Tags are a special line of textured tags, which can be interchanged with one another. They are the couture version of Arch Tags™!

 3. How long do they last?
They will last as long as you want them to. If applied correctly, the tag will stay put for quite some time but removes easily when you are done with it.

 4. When did you start the company?
Arch Tags™ and our e-commerce shop officially launched in May of 2011.

 5. How do you apply them?
You can apply the tag two ways. The first is by using the special guide printed on the reverse side of the Arch Tag...simply compare the generic print to the sole of your shoe, trim and apply to the arch. The other way would be to apply the strip to your shoe first, then trim around the sole with a craft blade or a pair of scissors. It’s quite simple and takes only a few minutes.

6. Advice for people that wanna start a innovative business such as your own?
If I had known how much work goes into starting and maintaining your own businesses, I may have reconsidered! Actually, that's a lie. There is something absolutely magical about seeing your dreams manifest through your efforts and hard work. It's absolutely true that hard work does pay off! My advice would be to start with something small and realistic, especially if you don't have a huge budget to work with... the less overhead the better! FOCUSING was a big lesson for me to learn! If you want to be successful, you have to focus on your goal every single day and do something productive toward it every single day. Research what it is that your mentors do that makes them successful, and follow their pattern. There is a definite pattern for success! If you are passionate about something, you can definitely make your dreams come true. Just be prepared to work for it...day and night, 24/7.

 7. Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I definitely see myself continuing to create innovative interesting products for women of every economic background! Also, launching special charity projects and helping other artists achieve their dreams through positive encouragement by acting as a leader and mentor. Being able to give back is everything!

 8. Will you buy me shoes, apply cheetah print arch tags and then marry me as you're clearly brilliant and I want to cash in on your ideas ?

Le` Artist - Fashion Designer/Illustrator Hayden Williams

There aren't enough words to describe his talent and my jealously over the fact that I can barely draw a circle (I can't draw a circle) but let me just give you a few that comes to mind, AMAZING, BRILLIANT, MARVELOUS, GRACIOUS, BEAUTIFUL, PURE RAW TALENT...I mean the man is a GENIUS! Here's my AMAZING interview with this AMAZING artist!!

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?
I've been drawing since the age of 3 years old. It's something that has always come very naturally to me and all of my skills are self taught. As a child, i was obsessed with Disney movies and i would constantly draw the animated female characters until i felt they looked up to my standards which was nothing less than perfect! All those years of drawing the female form....it was a natural progression into fashion illustration and design.

WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR THE FUTURE?
I definitely plan on having my own fashion label one day! Nothing happens overnight but i am working hard at it! There is a real desire for my designs to be made so my female fans can wear them! They see my sketches and want to look like them. It also helps that i have celebrities that are fans of my work. A lot of people know about Rihanna being a fan of my work. It was amazing to meet her also! Recently, Kim Kardashian posted my illustration of her and her sisters on her Instagram which was very cool! The amazing support i have is all very much appreciated, not only from celebrities, but my family and close friends! I have big goals and dreams but at the same time, I'm letting things take it's natural course! Right now, I'm concentrating on taking over the web with my illustrations/designs and then when i am fortunate to work with a team, i want to see my designs become a reality one day soon!  This is something that Rihanna told me she wants to see happen too so she can wear them! There are some projects in the pipeline and I'm beyond excited! I look forward to the near future!

WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
Inspiration can be unexpected at times but i mainly get inspiration from Women! It could be a fashion editorial, the way something is styled, a female Pop Culture icon....i can find inspiration in all of these things! The look of the Women that inspire me are always glamorous and there is always that timeless aspect too. I've always had a more mature take on fashion....a more 'ol school' kind of glamour is what i favour! It seems to resonate well with Women as well. Women want to invest in classics's and i aim to appeal to the Woman that doesn't want to feel like she has to be particularly "on trend". It's more about looking timeless but still modern.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE FASHION ILLUSTRATORS?
I would say to just make sure that you are genuinely passionate about the industry and that it's something you feel you were born to do! In terms of illustration and drawing, it's always been a huge part of my life and it feels like I've been doing it forever, which i how i knew it would eventually become a career even though i still see it as a hobby! In terms of studying fashion design, anybody can learn to sew etc, but i definitely believe that being a fashion designer comes from within! Having raw talent, passion and drive is something that cannot be taught in schools. Having that innate sense of style, knowing what works and what doesn't work, thinking like a business person before even getting to the studying part of fashion are all things i think should come naturally. Fortunately, i believe i have been blessed with these attributes. I would also say to be consistent, focused, hard working and use all of the amazing technology we have around to your advantage. Social media is unstoppable and can lead to very amazing things. I have Rihanna as a fan of my work thanks to Twitter! Another thing i would say, is to do things outside of studying. When i was at college studying fashion, i was also juggling my personal sketches and building my online presence at the same time! It was double the work, but it pays off in the end!
